10 Books I Look Forward to Reading (or Reading Again)

I am amazed and intrigued by the author’s commitment to say “yes” to any opportunities that came his way in his life. This book is about that journey.

A beautifully poetic book filled with soul food rich in Celtic culture, belief and tradition. I will often flip to a page, read a paragraph, set it down and go “wooooww…”.

It’s one of those. I’ve never actually read it front to back.

One of my favorite quotes by Chief Dan George is this;

“If you talk to animals they will talk with you and you will know each other.
If you do not talk to them you will not know them, and what you do not know you will fear.
What one fears one destroys.”
I. Love. Cabins.

I enjoy reading about interesting characters. Willie Nelson is definitely one of those.

A classic I have yet to read.

I always enjoy reading this book. It makes me fall in love with the forest all over again and makes me antsy for my cabin…

I haven’t read this one yet, but I loved “Tuesdays With Morrie” by the same author. Plus, Cameron said this one was really good :)

I remember reading the part titled “Washing the Dishes to Wash the Dishes”. The ultimate lesson in being present, but also in finding enjoyment in the seemingly mundane.

I bought this at my absolute faaaaavorite used book store in Golden, BC called Bacchus Books. It’s a must stop if you ever get the chance. There’s a cafe upstairs which is lovely and it is located in a heritage building constructed in the late 1800’s. I swear I buy books from there just so I have something to remind me of how much I love that place…

I was stoked to see a page in this book on forest beverages that included how to make Ivan Chai!! It’s a loose tea made from Fireweed that was developed outside of St. Petersburg, Russia. It’s a caffeine-free tea, but it is very energizing so it’s a great coffee replacement/alternative. And we make it! It’s one of our most popular teas :)
