About

Hi, I’m Maria.

Writing is my passion (ok, let’s be real — ONE of them) and my therapy.

My Sparklighter is your front-row seat to my musings, experiences and observations as I perpetually try to balance it all — including keeping my Spark alive.

I write about all kinds of things. My life, my thoughts, my world, the ridiculous stuff, the meaningful stuff, and the little gold nuggets I’ve stumbled across that I’ve found helpful along the way.

A Sparklighter is anything that brings a bright spot to someone’s world and that could be anything - an interaction, a thought, a smile, a moment…

My Sparklighter is about entertainment, inspiration and encouragement. My writing is inspired by whimsical candor. Sometimes it’s offbeat. Sometimes unconventional. Almost always a little playful. It’s my ongoing attempt to make some sense of this soupy circus called Life — and to notice the bright spots along the way.

My hope is that when you read something here, it feels a little like we’re having a one-on-one conversation — sitting in a comfy chair with a tasty tea, the windows wide open, talking about life and all the weird, wonderful, funny and sometimes profound things that happen along the way.

Welcome :)

Love,

Maria
