The Bald Eagle and the Birth

I was very pregnant with Henry. We were at the point that any day could be the day, but my due date wasn’t for another week. I was ready.

One day, while doing something very ordinary, I heard a voice tell me that I wasn’t going to have my baby until Grandfather Eagle had visited me one more time.

Ok. Cool. So there was Maria giving herself a constant crick in her neck watching the skies.

One day Don and I saw 3 big birds very high in the sky circling around. We wanted them to be eagles so bad that we were trying to convince each other that was what they were. They were buzzards. We knew it too.

A few days later I drove into town to run a few errands and on my way back a big beautiful bald eagle swooped down in front of my van right in the perfect line of sight. From the North to the South (down and out). There was no mistaking it. I felt a wave of energy come over me and my body instantly physically relaxed. 3 hours later I went into labor :)
