Fav Forest Finds this Week

Today I thought I’d share some of my favorite pics from my outdoor wanders this week. The most interesting definitely being the “purple carrot” that I didn’t even know was alive until the tip of it moved. And notice how big it was!
The way the spider brilliantly folded it‘s leaf upward to create a net for catching food was a work of art.
The caterpillar on the leaf actually stopped what it was doing and posed for me.
The moth/bee hybrid pollinator that I don’t remember ever seeing before :)
This Daisy was the very first one of the season.
The Rose; reminding me of the gentle unfolding…
The butterfly/moth wing reminded me of a couple days ago when for the very first time I observed a butterfly being chased and plucked from the sky by a songbird. It was both a bit disturbing and impressive.
The new Larch tips with it’s beautifully colored cones. The tips taste sooooo yum. Delightfully citrus-y.
And then there’s my sweet, sweet Honeysuckle...
