I Wrote a Letter to Someone I Admire Today
I had my own mini adventure this morning sitting right here in my chair with my granny blanket.
I’ve always enjoyed the fantasy of writing to someone I really admire and having them write back. And sometimes it even happens. I wrote an email to Seth Godin this morning. (I was sweating doing it too. So funny…)
I’m sharing it. I’m also sharing the post he wrote that inspired me to write him. Just cause.
I like this guy. And not just his enlightening, awesome work. I think I would like him in real life too. I like those ones the best. And what I like most about his work is his approach to marketing focusing on humanness, empathy and authenticity which really resonates with me.

I’m still learning…If the link above doesn’t work, it might work copying and pasting into the search bar. Not sure if you have to be signed up to his blog to read, but you can give it a go if you’re curious enough. And see what happens.

Seth,
Thank you.
The last 4 on the list are the reasons why I started MY blog (in reference to your Contagious Emotions post). My goal is to write every single day for 90 days to find my voice and then figure life out from there. Maybe figure out how to find my weirdies just like me. I’m on day 64 now💪
I’ve been reading your work for a long time and finally felt inspired and courageous enough to email. Whether you check it or not☺️ The point is in the doing, after all. And just like I tell my kids, if they don’t see it maybe their heart will hear it anyway.
Thank you for your insights, inspiration and constantness.
Here’s to the ruckus that hopefully changes worlds…
If you ever get 5-10 minutes of boredom or curiosity(?) I’ve added links to a few of my prouder moments… 🤷🏻♀️😊✨
Thank you again for inspiring me. Writing is my love language and passion project.
Warmly,
Maria

PS. The posts I linked were Love and Airports, A 5 Year Old’s Rite of Passage and Hard Things Deepen Our Human-ness. I checked the email after I sent it and my post links in the email to Seth work but they came through distorted🙈 So. Not pretty like they usually look. Lesson in letting go that one is. Oh welllllllll.😁
