I was thinking...Sometimes there is power and momentum in having nothing to lose. When the Oilers were in the finals they were down 3-0. The commentators were commenting that hope was running out. Then miraculously a 3-3 tie in the 2nd period. The energy shift was visible and palpable in the players. They found their game in playing with abandon. In the nothing to lose-ness. So maybe rock bottom isn't so bad a place sometimes after all...
